Technopark To Host IT Fest For Fifth Consecutive Year

| Trivandrum: The 10th State School IT Fest would be held at the Park Centre in Technopark on February 1 and 2. Around five hundred students who had won the first/second prizes at the district level fest would be participating in the event. Entries are separate for high school and higher secondary/vocational higher secondary school students. Competition events would be held in the fields of Digital Painting, IT Project, Multi Media Presentation, IT Quiz, Malayalam Computing and Web Page Design. This year, the IT Fest has been designed to function as a platform where students get to interact with Information Technology experts and attend classes conducted by eminent personalities in the field. The two-day fest would conclude with an award ceremony to be held on the evening of February 2 at 4 p.m. at Travancore Hall. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the closing ceremony. The function would be presided over by Minister for Education P K Abdu Rabb. |
Competition results, pictures and videos would be available live at www.itfest.itschool.gov.in. The fest would also be telecast on 'Victers' channel in two separate bulletins from 2 pm to 8 pm on February 1 and 2. Entry to the event has been restricted to invitees. |
