| Trivandrum: The
three day Property Show being held at Trivandrum is drawing huge
crowds. Large numbers seemed keen to know the latest offers in buying
apartments. The event, being organised by CREDAI, with association of
the State Bank of India, also holds seminars and discussions on the real
estate field. “The need for the survival and growth of the construction sector, especially that of flats and apartments, is vital for sustaining the economy of the state in general,” said SBI Chief Manager Aswin Kumar, while talking to Yentha. “Almost all sectors that bring in the revenue for the state is directly affected by the growth of the construction sector.” With availability of land going to be a key state-wide issue for urban Kerala, high rise apartment buildings are where the future housing sectors would be centered around. It is this importance of the real estate sector in shaping the future of the state, that prompted SBI to be a part of the event. SBI also has brought out some unique offers to its customers interested in investing in the sector. “We are offering an all time low interest rate of 10.25% for housing loans up to 30 lakhs and 10.4% for amount above 30 lakhs.” Describing the interest rates as viable to 'fluctuation' depending on the base rates for every bank that's decided by Reserve Bank of India, Avinash Kumar said that the move to lower interest rates was the best thing to do for everybody concerned. |
“There is going to be a huge influx of professionals from other states
settling down in Trivandrum and Cochin. The city of Trivandrum is
growing at a fast rate and with exciting scopes in future with the
upcoming developmental projects. At present, the price that is being
offered by the builders is actually standing at the lowest. So, in view
of the future, SBI is offering its customers a chance to invest in real
estate, which would also further trigger the growth of construction
sector in the state.” |
