Pre-Marital Counselling
An initiative by the Kerala Women’s Commission to prepare unmarried men and women on various aspects of married life | By Dinesh Kumar

Trivandrum: Kerala Women's Commission has taken initiative for the second time to provide pre-marital counselling for unmarried men and women of age above 18 years.

 

The commission is all set to organise a camp for three days during which regular workshops will be held, followed by interactive sessions. Some of the topics covered during the workshop are Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Genecology, and Paediatrics. Participants are not supposed to leave the camp for the three days.

 

The sessions include topics like ‘Sexual diseases and remedies' by Dr. Anitha Shankar, Medical College,  ‘Healthy birth control and Pregnancy' by Dr.Simi Nobel, Samad Hospital, and ‘Sex and Mental Health in family life' by Dr.K Girish, Mental Hospital Peroorkada.

 

Sakria Mathew, PA to the Chairperson of Women's Commission, told Yentha.com that they were expecting around 50 "students" for this camp.
