Trivandrum: The Games Village constructed at Menamkulam for the 35th National Games could be one of the greenest, energy-efficient, cost-effective and time-saving facilities ever made using prefabricated technology.

ACME Cleantech Solutions was behind the idea and development of the project. The village has over 365 housing units which Cleantech has completed apart from the internal electrical and sanitary works for the National Games Secretariat. The village was completed in a record time of ten months.

The village, spread across 28 acres of land, can accommodate around 5,000 athletes and team officials during the Games. Social infrastructures such as kitchen, food courts, reception desks, medical centre, recreational zone, health club, open air theatre, conference halls form part of the Games Village. Apart from these, it will also have house-keeping, solid waste management, security, clean water distribution facilities and even landscaping.

The Games Village is designed to be a ‘mini India” as this venue is representative of the whole country.
