Trivandrum: The Anti-Doping squad, comprising Doping Control Officers (DCOs) and officials of National Ant-Doping Agency (NADA), is already in action. The team, of about 75 officers spread across all the seven venue districts, is led by Dr. Perumal.

Grouped into small teams, they will shuttle between different venues and do random tests. Testing of urine samples is being done as per stipulated norms of NADA. It might take up to 10 days to get the results of a test.

Appropriate infrastructure and facilities have been provided by the organisers for the teams to carry out their functions. Transportation facilities, exclusive rooms and toilets with facilities for sample collection have been set up at all Games venues.

The 34 DCOs, who have multi-lingual proficiency, locally sourced and trained, are deployed at each venue to support the measures. Let's hope that these games are free of any such doping issues.
