Mass Contact Programme Set To Return

Trivandrum: The Chief Minister’s ‘Jana Samparka Paripadi’ (Mass Contact Programme) is set to return. However in a new avatar this time -‘Karuthal 2015’. The programme will be held from 20 April to 11 June. It will stress on public issues and the problems affecting the people in each place. Oommen Chandy made the announcement while addressing the district collectors through video conferencing. CM also said that the projects that were halted due to several reasons should be regained with the coordination of the concerned departments and in consultation with the local representatives. Petitions for the mass contact programme in the district can be submitted through Akshaya centres, taluk offices or the district collectorate till March 28. The district-level officers will go to the houses of the people who have applied for financial help and will take decisions on each application. The officers will make sure that no application goes unattended, and the reason will be informed to the applicant if an application is rejected. All the venues will be made plastic-free zones. |
Those who have not yet received the motorised tri-cycles allotted to them in the last mass contact programme will be provided as soon as possible. For submission of petitions, people are requested to bring their Aadhaar card or any other photo identity card.
