Trivandrum: The first weekly draw for selection of winners from among the shoppers in Season 5 of the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) was organsied in the district of Kannur. The inaugural function held at Kannur Town Suare was inaugurated by District Panchayat President Professor Sarala. A total of 15 winners were selected in a grand ceremony with each with each winner getting 10 sovereigns of gold. The second prize of 5 sovereigns each was given away to 20 lucky winners. All the 35 winners were selected from among consumers who had bought retail commodities from shops participating in the GKSF and obtained gift coupons.
The first prize of 10 sovereigns each was won by the following Coupon no:s - 886586, 132057, 1301936, 210432, 733230, 720028, 1059280, 785609, 667790, 1292040, 908423, 1050972, 1163673, 118492, and 395189. 20 shoppers with the following coupon no:s won the second prize of 5 sovereigns each - 837858, 853170, 342438, 925705, 758084, 207675, 226626, 326715, 275811, 1013336, 168237, 1377362, 1127373, 746144, 972054, 312777, 161418, 133287, 654461, and 272950. |
Daily draws are also being conducted for GKSF prize coupons. The same coupons are included in the weekly draw also. All these coupons will be included in the Mega draw that will happen at the end of the festival.
The traders and shopping centres in the State have reported a
significant increase in the number of shoppers owing to GKSF
participation and availability of coupons with each purchase. Experts
say that more shops coming forward to register themselves in GKSF even
after two weeks have elapsed since the beginning of the festival, is
also an indication of rising sales in the State. |
