Trivandrum: Brace yourselves for the Great run folks! All the facilities required for the highly anticipated ‘Run Kerala Run’ mass run is set. The mega event associated with the National Games is scheduled for tomorrow, January 20, 2015. The biggest mass run 35th that the country has witnessed will take place in around 7000 centres in different parts of Kerala. The run will be flagged off by Governor Justice P Sadasivam at the South Gate of Secretariat at 10:30 am. The Games ambassador Sachin Tendulkar will be taking part in the run starting from the Secretariat. He will be joined by CM Oommen Chandy. Several celebrities and prominent personalities would also be a part of the event. Thousands of educational institutions, residential associations, public and private organisations and individuals have registered their names for the run, according to the National Game Organising Committee (NGOC) officials. The registration is not mandatory and unregistered people can also participate. They can take part in the run at the any of the ‘run’ points along with others. |
The Government in has given permission to the employees to take part in this epic run. Permission has also been given as to the use of loudspeakers for organising this massive event. The run will be from 10:30 am to 11:30 am on January 20. All the important centres including cities and villages in the state will be centres for ‘Run Kerala Run’. Anyone can participate as there is no age limit for participation. The run distance will range from 200m to 800m.
