Food Tech 2011 Inaugurated At VJT Hall

Trivandrum: Food Tech, the food processing machinery exhibition was inaugurated in VJT Hall on December 19. The main aim of the exhibition was to make the public aware about the food processing machinery from all over India. This expo was organized as part of Grand Kerala Shopping Festival.

 

 

The Pilotsmith (India) Pvt. Ltd., gave information about their excellent food, Ayurvedic and Fruit Processing equipment including machines like Ayurvedic and fruit processing units, flour mills and production units, large scale spices processing units, rice powder processing units and packing section. SAS group of companies has Indian and imported bakery showcases, like display units, pastry counters, bakery showcases (hot and cool), chats and pav bhaji counters, ice cream display counters and also  baking machines, kitchen machines, ice cream machines and refrigeration units.

 

 

Frick India Limited exhibited its450 XL series high speed reciprocating compressor  whose applications find use across a range of verticals like ice plants, dairy plants, breweries, food, processingair conditioning, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Be Grip Enterprises has quality packaging equipment and materials while Nikasu Frozen Foods International introduced vegetarian fresh frozen food including traditional delicacies and a range of naan, bread and paratha.

 

 

Shornur Agricultural Implements Consortium (p) Ltd (SAICO) has products like agricultural implements and estate tools, billhooks and sickles, domestic and garden tools, masonry tools, and carpentry tools, tailoring scissors and surgical instruments. Self-help groups, Kudumbasree units and cottage industries also participated in the expo.

Narayana Home Made Pickles owner Smitha said, “This is the 17th expo I am participating in. Mango, gooseberry, lemon and fish pickles are or main products. This type of expo helps me publicize our products. People are generally drawn to it because it is home made. The word of mouth publicity and expo are the main factors helping the growth of my business.”



SB Enterprises offered solutions to plastic bags through their Chinese cloth bags that cost between Rs. 4-15. Jewllery, leather bags, traditional Kerala sarees, settum mundum and churidars, cake and wine are the main products offered by small-scale industrial units.

 

Magnetic Neuro Therapy Device Centre’s Micromate Neuro Muscular Stimulator was a big draw at the event, attracting curious crowds towards its magnetic therapy that treats various diseases and disorders.
