GKSF 2011: Exciting Prizes To Be Won At Road Show

Trivandrum: The ongoing Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) Road Show that was flagged off from Kasargod is gaining popularity and has been hailed as an indicator of the planning and coordination exercise behind the organisation and smooth conduct of this large scale shopping event.

 

 

The Road Show was jointly organised by the radio partners of GKSF namely, All India Radio, Club FM, Radio Mango, Red FM, Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Best FM. The Road Show was inaugurated by the GKSF Director Dr. Rathen Kelkar at the premises of the new bus terminal in Kasargod.

For the first time in Kerala, The Road Show will feature an 18x10 LED screen tracker that affords clear and uninterrupted viewing even during the day time. The Road Show will make several stops in the course of its journey, where representatives of radio partners will organise exciting competitions for the public. The visuals from these shows will be telecasted live in the LED screen which will be put up using a hydraulic jack for a wider audience. Sponsors of GKSF will also air visuals of their advertisements with special audio effects.

 

The competitions organised as part of the Road Show is an entertaining and amusing part of GKSF to watch out for, and an opportunity to win exciting prizes. The winner of the mega competition item will receive a Tata Nano car sponsored by Tata Motors. Winners from contests organised by the six radio partners are eligible to take part in the mega contest. The contestants will be required to accomplish the feat of hitting the eye of a bird up above the ground using a bow and arrow, by looking only into the reflection of the bird in a mirror. The mega winner will be selected from a draw of all those who are able to hit the target. All winners will receive consolation prizes from GKSF. Sweets will be distributed among all viewers and contestants at the Road Show.  

After touring the districts of Kasargod and Kannur, the Road Show will head to Kozhikode and Malappuram. A grand reception will be organised at the Kozhikode private bus stand, Thenhipalam University campus, Kottackal, Thirurangadi, Malappuram and Kottakkunnu.
