In Trivandrum district, Onam would also be celebrated by the government in Kovalam, Shanghumugham, Aruvikkara, Varkala, Neyyar Dam, Chirayinkeezhu and Karakulam at a cost of Rs.Four and a half lakhs. The programmes, which are to start on August 28, will conclude six days later on September 3, with the grand parade.
