Citizens Can Continue To Enlist Names In Voters List
Revision to the voters list underway after publication of final list on January 5 | By Yentha
On Feb 04, 2012

Trivandrum: Citizens who have completed 18 years of age on or before January 1, 2012 and who have not been able to add their names to the voters list can do so now. The revision will also enable voters to make corrections, if any, and changes in the ward or jurisdiction of booths and change the name of the ward in case of moving to a different one. Application forms can be submitted at the respective Taluk Office or online at www.ceo.kerala.gov.in.

Complete details of applicants need to be clearly provided in the application form, particularly in case of those who have moved to a new location. Entire details including current name on existing  list and the number on the voter’s ID card should be made available. Citizens are encouraged to submit their applications online since typing up details from a form presented in person might lead to typos. This can be avoided in online submissions which would also save one a trip to the Taluk Office . It is the duty of every citizen to verify details at the time of receipt of voter’s ID card. Application for correction of mistakes can be handed over immediately.

A fee of Rs. 25/- will be charged from those who need new cards due to errors resulting from mistakes in filling out the application form by the applicant and for issuing duplicate voter’s ID card in case of loss. There is no fee for errors resulting from typos made by the authorities.
