Meet Aswani Dravid, a film lover, anchor and research scholar. She was a person who has been actively involved in IFFK since 2010 and had worked as part of the organisation team in previous IFFK editions. But she had enough reasons to quit this edition of IFFK.

“IFFK has traditionally been the most active cultural gathering of Kerala. Now seeing the deeply 'unprofessional' plight of it, I pity the organisers. The problems have started right from the beginning. Ms. Beena Paul’s resignation itself sent out alarms amongst those who have been closely associated with the film festival as we were apprehensive about the vacuum it would create in the organisation.””

Aswani also criticized Adoor’s  “English controversy”. She said the registration process was an‘English’ examination and it was mocked and made fun of by every film enthusiast in Kerala.

“And then came the 3-film booking!! The website crashed and it angered all delegates. Also, the crowd is being managed very unprofessionally. It really saddened me to hear from many outsiders that they are highly disappointed about our IFFK.“ adds  Aswani

In the end, she describes it as a mega flop film festival!
