'Kya Kool Hain Hum' was a surprise hit and 'Kya Super Kool Hain Hum' might be an expected hit. The combination of Tusshar Kapoor as the struggling actor 'Adi' and Ritesh Deshmukh as 'Sid', a DJ of average success, works well this time around too. The entire film is a glorified competition between 'Adi' and 'Sid' about who manages to make the bigger fool of himself.
Kya Super Kool Hain Hum is also supposed to be a risqué comedy and so we have the skimpily dressed heroines Neha Sharma as 'Simran' and Sarah Jane Dias as 'Anu', who steam up the screen with their mere presence. And both have nothing much to do besides looking hot and trying to act, which in a way, goes well for the movie too.
Ekta Kapoor, who has co-produced this movie along with Shobha Kapoor, has been around in the industry long enough to know that any script demanding the lead actors to act was bound to fail. Kya Super Kool Hain Hum is a slapstick comedy where the actors are required to make faces and not act, and RiteshDeshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor fit perfectly into the bill.
The number one rule for a slapstick comedy to succeed is for it to be packed with lots and lots of energy; there isn't scope for a moment's drag anywhere in the storyline. Sachin Yardi, who is also the director of the movie, has written a suitable plot to sustain the vibrancy through its lead actors, along with Anupam Kher as 'Francis Marlo', father of Anu, and 'Baba 3G', the fake hermit played by Chunky Pandey. Together, the four of them get involved in numerous funny sequences, some of which do manage to be genuinely funny. The music of Kya Super Kool Hain Hum by Sachin – Jagir is another factor that would draw in the crowds in the initial days. The camera work is average by Bosco-Ceaser but the frames have been well sorted out to suit the pace of the music and the story by Editor Aarif Shaikh. Like with every risqué comedy, there is enough and more of double entendres, gestures, monologues and dialogues in the movie, but fortunately nothing too derogatory to cross over into being insulting to the viewer.

Like with every risqué comedy, there is enough and more of double entendres, gestures, monologues and dialogues in the movie, but fortunately nothing too derogatory to cross over into being insulting to the viewer.
Director Sachin Yardi had teamed up with Tusshar Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor once before in 'C Kkompany,' which was his debut film as a director. The movie's name seems unfamiliar to most cine goers because the debut film of Sachin Yardi had sunk without a trace. But with Kya Super Kool Hain Hum, he seems to have secured his first commercial hit, and was more or less expected, since he had written the screenplay for the prequel – Kya Kool Hain Hum.
The movie takes place in urban Mumbai and touristy Goa, and is meant more for the multiplex viewers than the single screen audience. Nothing in the movie has any semblance to reality; but then, characters like Adi and Sid could never belong to the real world.
Neha Sharma and Sarah Jane Dias have done a good job of looking sexy throughout the movie, but sadly the film won't make any significant impact on their careers. The presence of Anupam Kher in the movie displays the versatility of the actor in commanding respect through some stunning performances and at the same time ridiculing his own stature by appearing in roles such as that of Francis Marlo in the movie.
Kya Super Kool Hain Hum is an entertainer and easily involves the audiences' attention for the two hours of running time. Yet it is in no way a movie that 'needs' to be watched. Kya Super Kool Hain Hum is like a fire cracker which is supposed to shine bright, but only for a few moments. The film would enjoy a short but successful run in the box office and then would be forgotten.
