After the two editions of Kiss of  Love protest at Kochi and Kozhikode, the new Kiss of Love protest titled “Kiss Against Fascism; Do the don’t's of Fascism” against increasing incidents of moral policing in the state, took place at Trivandrum at the IFFK venue.

The protesters demonstrated public kissing at Kairali-Sree-Nila complex at 1 p.m. Although there were quite a few of delegates who ranted against the protestors, the wise and timely handling by the policemen made the scene calm, mainly because of the presence of an international film audience. At Kochi and Kozhikode, so-called activists of the Yuva Morcha and Hanuman Sena had attacked the protesters, and even the police were accused of beating up the protesters.

Kiss of Love organisers announced Saturday’s event on its Facebook page. They consider it as a third edition of Kiss of Love. “This will be a great message against Facism”, said Aswathy Senan, one of the co-ordinators.

Shahina Nafeesa, Reena Philip, J. Devika, and Jisha Jose were the other main organizers of the event.
