IFFK 2014: Flick Pick - Day 6 - Dec 18
Our penultimate day festival picks | Dr. Abraham K. George
On Dec 18, 2014

CORN ISLAND, from Georgian director George Ovashvili, tells about a Georgian farmer and his grand-daughter who decide to plant corn on a piece of land in the middle of a river. With excellent cinematography, this film is worth making a beeline for. Screening at Sree Kumar, Show 1.

WHIPLASH, by Damien Chazelle, is about a a young jazz drummer who is tutored by a hard taskmaster, and his struggle to become a top jazz drummer. Screening at Kairali, Show 2.

WINTER SLEEP was mentioned yesterday. This film's second screening is once again at New Screen-1, Show 2.

GOODBYE TO LANGUAGE, Godard's 2014 work, is probably a difficult film unless you are die-hard art film buff. This is shot in 3D and viewers so far have said it was one of the most "different" psychedelic films of this festival. Watch it again at Dhanya, Show 4.
