New Delhi: The nation's capital went into a frenzy when an earthquake of 4.9 magnitude rocked the city for a long thirty seconds at 1:11 post noon. Office workers were seen running into the streets in the midst of their lunch breaks as the building swayed at the Central Business District of New Delhi. |
The earthquake had its epicenter 30 kilometer west of Delhi, near to the Delhi - Haryana border. Fortunately no serious damage was reported as an aftermath of the earthquake. However, the moderate quake has prompted an increasing number of questions concerning how much the capital is prepared in the event of a massive earthquake.
