Trivandrum: “The society should not look down at the exploited women. People should be open to those women who report harassment issues,” said Dr. B Sandhya IPS while inaugurating the Terumo Penpol Women’s Cell (TPWC) here today.
“Women in Kerala should be empowered by giving them basic legal awareness about remedies available under various laws, in instances of harassment, domestic violence and child abuse,” she added. |
C Padmakumar, Executive Director, TPL stated that the management will
provide complete support for Women’s cell. “The key objective of the
Cell should be to bring awareness to all associates on the matter of
gender sensitivity, rights of women, and what constitutes sexual
harassment,” he said. |
