Trivandrum: Keeping in touch with the changing trend, Quilon Radio Services (QRS), has opened their newest venture on MG Road in Trivandrum. The four floored shopping mall, named 'QRS Square' currently has Nilgiris Super Market, Max Fashion Store and two floors of QRS showrooms functioning in it.
“KFC would soon start functioning at the ground floor,” adds Sudhan Damu, General Manager of QRS Square. “There are also plans to set up a Food Court in the fourth floor and a roof top garden as well.”
QRS Square has a total space of one lakh sqft in its four floors and each floor is connected by stairs, escalators and elevators. There are two underground floors exclusively for car parking, which can accommodate 100 cars at a time. |
“The whole marketing picture has changed in Trivandrum. The city is different from Cochin in the sense that the population here is more a middle class one, but the spending power and spending strategy of this population has witnessed a gradual change. At present, they demand to be offered with the widest array of options belonging to the latest model of the best brand in a single visit to a commercial building, and so shopping malls are the future.”
QRS Square has been receiving a tremendous response within the short span of time that has elapsed since its opening. Established as Quilon Radio Service in 1947, QRS is the largest consumer durable group in Kerala today, with over 30 showrooms dotting the state's map. It also has four windmills working in Karungulam, Nagercoil, thereby contributing to the production of green energy. |
