Kowdiar, Trivandrum: The Malayalam film 'Dalmarmaramarangal - Whispers of the petals’ has been selected for the South-Asian film festival to be conducted at Goa from September 17 to September 20. The film will be screened on the second day of the festival at 11am.

It is the third directorial venture of noted film critic and novelist, Vijayakrishanan. The director has bagged five state awards for his writings on cinema and has won the national award for his book on cinema, ‘Sameeksha’, in the year 1982.

The film revolves around the hidden secrets of an attempted murder, which are revealed through the lives of three girls. “This is an essay on how three different girls from three different social and economic backdrops try to cope with their life against all odds,” said the director to Yentha.

The film was screened at the Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh, earlier this year.
