A Short Film Based On Rabindranath Tagore's Short Story

Trivandrum: The 'Focus Film Club' of Neyyatinkara Govt. Boys School has indeed made the 150th birthday celebrations of the  distinguished poet Rabindranath Tagore, a remarkable one through its making of 'Evide Enikkoru Veedundu', an adaption of 'The Homecoming', a short story written by Rabindranath Tagore .

The short film has been directed by V N Pradeep, producer in Victers Channel and also an alumnus of the Neyyatinkara Govt. Boys School. Around 50 students who were selected after conducting three film camps in the school have acted in this short film. The film also features noted actor M R Gopakumar in a major role. The shooting of the film was done around Neyyatinkara region and was hugely supported by the city corporation. The film tells the story of a village bred kid who finds himself in a state of turmoil amidst the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Almost the entire population of this township had arrived for the first screening of this short film at Kalabhavan theatre and the function was also attended by the veteran Malayalam poet O N V Kurup and the founder of Soorya Stage and Film Society, Soorya Krishnamoorthy.
