35th National Games – Kerala
35th National Games of India, will be held from 31 January 2015 to 14 February 2015 across seven districts in Kerala. It is the second time that Kerala is hosting the national games after it hosted the 27th National Games in 1987.
Sachin Tendulkar is the goodwill ambassador for the games. The mascot of the 35th National Games is'''Ammu''', The Great Hornbill, or the Great Indian Hornbill, the State bird of Kerala.
Opening ceremony is on 31 January 2015 and Closing ceremony will be on 14 February 2015.
A total of 11,641 participants, including 7,744. The 15-day event will see competitions for a total of 365 gold medals, an equal number of silver medals and 477 bronze medals.
Trivandrum will have the most number of venues and will be the centre of attraction of National Games 2015. There are 14 venues hosting 17 events. Apart from this Trivandrum International Stadium that will host the opening and closing ceremonies.
